It’s a basic project that keeps track of stock levels. This system offers a user-friendly user interface.

This is the CAPSTONE Project for Bachelor of Science and Information Technology in Carlos Hilado Memorial State College.

Introduction

The developers aimed to develop an online ordering and delivery system providing customers a way to place an order at a pharmacy over the internet. The advent of dedicated delivery research companies that significantly advances in drug delivery technology were made. The recognition that specific research had undertaken in order to overcome the problems of conventional drug delivery led to the evolution of modern-day pharmaceutical science and technology.

A drug delivery system could deliver the correct amount of drug to the site of action at the correct rate and timing. This was to maximize the desired therapeutic response. Specialized drug delivery systems constituted a relatively recent addition to the field of pharmaceutical technology.

Purpose and Description

The primary purpose of the ordering and delivering system was to allow customers to easily place orders over the internet. With the improvement of technology, online ordering and delivering system became a popular topic.

This was for the reason that, they were serving the ever increasing demand for fast, easy and convenient transaction. With this website, customers could easily browse all the available needed medicine.

It also saved previous transaction allowing checking and retrieving previous orders. It was not time consuming in taking the customers to order and brought easy access of transaction.

General Objectives

To develop an online medicine delivery system with SMS notification which would help the customer in making fast and easy delivery transaction of products in Hinigaran, Binalbagan and Himamaylan.

Specific Objectives

To design and develop the system with following features:

• Manage Order
• Manage Products
• Delivery Management
• Rider Management
• Manage Reports
• Manage Commission

To evaluate the usability of the system according to the following parameters:

• System Usefulness
• Information Quality
• Interface Quality
• Overall Usability

Scope and Limitation of the Study

The developers focused on the development of the online medicine delivery system with SMS notifications during the second semester of academic year 2020-2021 at Carlos Hilado Memorial State College – Binalbagan.

The system’s function was to provide specific web-page wherein customers could order and have home delivery services.

It generated reports on medicine delivery and prepared bills for delivery transactions. The developed system was password protected and controlled only by the administrator. It was available based on the needs of the user, worked properly, and did transactions efficiently including safe data management of the delivery system.
