Create your own Serial Number Code Input using VB.Net

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create your own serial number code input using Visual Basic 2008

First, create your project then drag for text boxes and resize it into small fields just like the example image below:

Next, rename your text boxes to serial1, serial2, serial3 and serial4 for you to distinguish which is which.

Then, double click each text box for you to auto-generate the text box changed event and insert this line of code:

If serial1.TextLength = 4 Then
serial1.Enabled = False
serial2.Focus()
Else
serial1.Enabled = True
End If
End Sub

For serial1 text box changed event.

Private Sub serial2_TextChanged(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles serial2.TextChanged
If serial2.TextLength = 4 Then
serial2.Enabled = False
serial3.Focus()
Else
serial2.Enabled = True

For serial2 text box changed event.
