Water Refilling System Free Download Template in Bootstrap and PHP

Abstract

One of humanity’s most basic requirements is water. Some settlements now have their water district, which provides water to a large number of people. Water is a basic necessity, hence there are water refilling stations all over the place, where competition is fierce. For individuals to choose them, they must make an impression with their services. Water district deals with various operations and tasks daily from managing records of transactions to sales, orders, and deliveries of the water refilling station. Conventionally, the aforementioned activities and operations are done by hand and manually. The records are recorded manually on paper and are stored in physical storage. People are accustomed to purchasing water refills over the phone or going to a water refilling station in person. The water refilling station also makes deliveries manually; therefore the consumer is unable to trace the location and exact delivery time of the water. Both management and clients are uncomfortable with the manual system. It is inefficient to satisfy customers, and management cannot keep track of the number of deliveries they must make. With this, the researchers aimed to develop an online platform that will digitally transform the operations and transactions in a water refilling system. The researchers will develop the project following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) technique. The target users of the system are water refilling stations and their consumers.

Introduction

The fact that technology has altered the way we live is undeniable. It has made life easier in every way possible. The capstone project, entitled “Water Refilling System” is designed to streamline various operations and tasks daily from managing records of transactions to sales, orders, and deliveries of the water refilling station. The said initiative will manage the transactions and records on the water refilling station or business. The system focuses on sales and delivery transactions of the business. It was designed in PHP and Bootstrap, these are the tools mostly used for the development of web or online systems.

Conventionally, the aforementioned activities and operations are done by hand and manually. The records are recorded manually on paper and are stored in physical storage. People are accustomed to calling a water refilling station or going to a water refilling station in-person to purchase water refills. Because the water refilling station also performs deliveries manually, the consumer is unable to track the water’s specific position and delivery time. The manual system is inconvenient for both management and clients. Satisfying consumers is inefficient, and management is unable to keep track of the number of deliveries that must be made.

Proposed Solution

To address the aforementioned concerns, the researchers of the study aim to develop a web-based platform that will transform the operations and transactions of the water refilling districts and stations digitally. The project will allow water districts to manage their records of transactions, sales, orders, and deliveries in one place. The water refilling station can conveniently manage and track their scheduled orders and delivery. All information and transactions from the water refilling station will be stored in the system. By interacting with additional clients, the technology will assist the water refilling station in increasing sales. The said project will ease up and simplify the whole operation of the water districts. It will significantly increase their business efficiency and overall customer satisfaction.

Objectives of the Study

General Objective –  The main goal of this project is to design, develop and implement a system that will serve as a platform wherein transactions for placing orders and deliveries and other operations for water refilling stations are done.

The following are the precise goals of the study:

  1. To electronically transform the operations of the water refilling districts and stations.
  2. To efficiently streamline records management of water refilling stations.
  3. The system will make it easier for the customers to order water and make it accessible to everyone.
  4. To help the water refilling station manage and monitor sales and water deliveries.
  5. To help provide a good service that will satisfy the clients and contribute to the growth of the business.
  6. System development of the project will be evaluated into two parts.

IT experts – to test the project in terms of accuracy, reliability, and other parameters based on the standard instrument.

User Acceptance – to test the acceptability and functionalities of the project.

Scope of the Study

The main focus of the project is the development process of the Water Refilling System. The project will be specifically designed by the researchers to streamline various operations that take place in a water refilling station. From records management, sales management, and order and water delivery information management. The project is only limited to water refilling stations as they are the target end-users of the system as well as their consumers.

Significance of the Study

The following are the beneficiaries of this project:

Water Districts and Suppliers. The system will ease up and simplify their whole business operation. This will improve their business growth and customer services.

Consumers and the general public. The system will help them easily and conveniently order water refills.

Researchers. If this project will succeed, they will gain credits for providing solutions to the problems faced by water districts in managing their daily operations. This will add to their knowledge and skills as programmers.

Future Researchers. They can utilize this study as a reference if they wish to pursue the same study.

Development Tools

The capstone project, “Water Refilling System” is intended to automate and streamline water refilling station’s management areas. This will digitally transform the operations and transactions of water refilling districts and suppliers.

This section of the paper will provide you with an idea on what are the forms to be included in a Water Refilling System. PHP and Bootstrap were used to develop the said template.

Documentation of the project is available upon request (chapters 1 to 5). Feel free to message us for the complete documentation of the project.

Project Highlights

The Water Refilling System is a database-driven system that will automate the process of managing water refill orders and deliveries. This project will increase the response time of water refilling stations to their customers.

The following are the advantages of the Online Water Billing System:

  1. Automated Operation – the system will make it easier for water district employees to manage the water refilling station’s operations and transactions
  2. Records Management – it is a database system that makes water refilling station’s records electronic, safe, accurate, reliable, and fast.
  3. Report Generation – the system automatically generates and provides reports of the water refill orders and deliveries.

How the System Works

This article will discuss the features and functions of the system. The researchers will explain the forms, modules, and user interface of the Online Water Billing System.

Point of Sale Module – The point of sale module is a feature of the project that allows you to manage your store sales and inventory. It includes a cash register system, a barcode scanner, and a printer. It also supports product and customer tracking, and provides reporting and analysis tools.

Conclusion

The initial investigation reveals that the pre-existing method in managing day-to-day operations of water refilling districts or stations is prone to errors and is not too high ideal to improve the operational efficiency and overall customer experience. Thus, the researchers developed an Online Water Billing System and presented it to the end-users. The result of the study showed that the developed system met the needs and requirements of the end-users and respondents. The respondents have seen the great potential of the system in eliminating the difficulties encountered in the manual system. It will make water refilling station management easy, fast, and efficient. It will significantly improve the operational efficiency of water refilling districts and the overall satisfaction of consumers.

Recommendations

Based on the significant result of the study, the researchers of the study highly recommend the implementation of the project. The researchers recommend the system for its efficiency and dependability that can be rendered to the target end-users. The system will allow the water district to manage their transactions records, sales, water refill orders, and deliveries efficiently and conveniently. The researchers also highlight the importance of having enough knowledge on how the system function to properly use it.

The researchers mainly suggest that water districts or suppliers integrate the system in their operation to fully transform and deliver satisfying service to their customers. The system will allow them to satisfactorily render water refill services to their consumers.
