How to Print Hello World Text in Java


This tutorial will teach you on how to print a “Hello World” text in Java. Before you start, be sure that you already install the JDK (Java Development Kit) and Netbeans IDE(Integrated Development Environment).

Printing a line of text is the first step of Java program especially if you are a newbie. The first step is you need to understand the structure code of java. Java program compose of ClassesMethods and statements.

What is a Class?  A Java class is a blueprint from which individual objects are created.

What is a Method? A method is a group of Java statement that performs some operation on some data and may or may not return result. Methods must be located inside java Class.

What is a Statement? A group of statements that perform operation located inside a Java Method.

Printing Hello World Text in Java Steps

1.Using your Netbeans IDE, go to “File” and Select “New Project”. A dialog box appears and click “next”.

2.Insert your desire “Project Name” and click “Finish” button. A java class will automatically create.

3.Insert the following codes below inside your class.

System.out.println(“Hello World!”);

4.Run your program and the result should look like the image below.
