Today, you will learn how to setup Facebook App on localhost using XAMPP. But, first let’s tackle what is XAMPP?
XAMPP is a completely free and open source cross-platform web server developed by Apache friends that has four primary components the Apache web server, MySQL, PHP and Perl programming languages.
It is very easy to install and use. This will make your computer into complete working web server.
So, let’s get started.
First Step: Download the xampp in any version.
Second Step: Click the window and r button on the keyboard of your computer at the same time.
Third Step: It will appear like this. See it Below.
Fourth Step: Type notepad.exe in the text field and click ok. See it below.
Fifth Step: It will appear like this. See it Below.
Sixth Step: Click the file and select open in the notepad.
Seventh Step: Go to system32, open the drivers folder, open the etc folder and select all files. See it below.
Eight Step: Select Host and click open. See it below.
Ninth Step: It will appear just like this. See it below.
Tenth Step: Put whatever name you like for the host. See it Below.
Eleventh Step: Open xampp and start apache and mysql.
Twelve Step: Open a web browser and type your host the you have created in the search bar. See it below.
Thirteenth Step: Go to https://developers.facebook.com/ and put the host that you have created in the app domain and click Save Changes. See it below.
