Text Color

The CSS Text Color property is used to set the color of the text.

With CSS, a color is most often specified by:

  • a color name –  “yellow”
  • a HEX value –  “#ff0000”
  • an RGB value –  “rgb(255,0,0)”

Example:

  1. <h1>Research on how to increase positive moods and capitalize on your strengths has proliferated, thanks to the positive psychology movement. This research has shed light on ongoing insights into personality, mood, and cognition. Though not everyone is born with a sunny disposition, experts do agree we can all learn how to bring more meaning and satisfaction into our lives.</h1>
  2. This is an ordinary paragraph. Notice that this text is blue. The default text color for a page is defined in the body selector.
